These terms and conditions cover both our and our visitors responsibilities in relation to this website and its shopping services.

The terms and conditions set out below together with our privacy policy governs Tennants UK Ltd’s relationship with users of this website and its shop. This website and its services are only intended for use by people resident in Mainland UK and we do not accept orders from outside that area. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions do not use this website and instruct us to close your account if you have one.

On this page and within this document “we” and “our” refers to Tennants UK Ltd, who are the owner and operator of this website and shop. Items sold on this store may have their own terms and instructions governing the correct and lawful usage or even individual warranties. Terms of sale will apply to all on-line contracts for the purchase of goods by you (buyer) from us (the seller), to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions which may apply under any sales offer or promotion.

Both the Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy should be considered supplementary to our Trade terms and conditions, which also covers our business to business relationship. Please check this page regularly to take notice of any changes made to it.

Access to this website is permitted on a temporary basis, we reserve the right to withdraw or amend its services without notice. We are not liable if for any reason this website is unavailable and from time to time we may restrict access to the site. All trademarks are acknowledged and images are for illustration purposes only, errors and omissions excepted.

We have no control over these linked sites and accept no responsibility for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them. Your use of any linked sites will be subject to the terms of use and service contained within each such site.

Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy which sets out what information we store and how we use it, can be found here – Privacy Policy.  We do not collect personal information from you while you browse this site and details submitted on forms are only used to answer that inquiry then deleted. You can withdraw your consent to this processing at any time by ceasing to submit form inquiries and calling directly.

By continuing to use the shop services you consent to the processing it describes and warrant that all data provided by you is accurate. You can withdraw your consent to this processing and close your shop account at any time. We provide a form to cancel shop accounts, once a request is confirmed we will close your account and completely delete all your shop stored data. You can also opt in or out of our marketing emails at any time, just fill in the corresponding form on our contacts page or click the consent removal on an email.

You have the right to request a copy of all personal information the shop holds on you. If you would like to do this please complete the Personal Information Request form or email us directly with the request. We will send you an email to verify your request and then follow up with an email containing a link for you to download the data. You can correct or remove information you think is inaccurate or misleading from within your account dashboard, if you would like something deleted just email the request.

Prohibitions

You must not misuse this website to commit or encourage a criminal offence. You must not transmit or distribute any material which is malicious and technologically harmful. Users should refrain from hacking any aspect of the site to access or corrupt data. Or attempt to affect the performance and functionality of any device accessed through this website.

Breaching this provision would constitute a criminal offence and Tennants UK Ltd will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and disclose any relevant data with have to them. We are not liable for any loss caused by a technologically harmful attack or material that may infect your computer equipment, software, data or other due to the use of this website or on any website linked to it.

The intellectual property rights of all content made available through this website remains the property of Tennants UK Ltd or its owner and are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. Users may store, print and display the content supplied here solely for their own personal use. Users are not permitted to publish, manipulate, distribute or otherwise reproduce, in any format, any of the content or copies of the content which appears on this website nor may they use any such content in connection with any business or commercial enterprise.

Shop Accounts

To shop with us you’ll need to be an existing trade customer of Tennants UK Ltd. This shop operates a business to business service, selling number plate supplies to authorised clients only. As responsible manufacturers, we only provided trade accounts to approved and DVLA Registered suppliers.

All orders are normally accepted subject to availability, but in the event of shortages we reserve the right to operate a quota system. We retain the right to refuse any account request and final acceptance of an order shall be at our discretion. Payment for new orders becomes due in full on checkout, cancelled or refused orders will be refunded as a matter of course.

Note: Shop accounts are automatically deleted after 12 months inactivity, which also removes all account & order data. If you only buy once per year, please ensure you log-in to keep your account active. If need an account re-setting, contact our customer services team.

Making A Purchase

To use our shops facilities users will have to be logged into their account as an authorised user, this enables product prices and permits purchasing. When placing an order you undertake that all the details you provide to us are true and accurate, you are still a valid number plate supplier, that are an authorised user of any payment method used and that there are sufficient funds to cover order costs. And for contractual and legal purposes, you accept contact between supplier and buyer will be by email.

1: Our Contract

When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement email confirming receipt of your order. This email is only an acknowledgement and will not constitute acceptance of your order. A contract between us will not be formed until we send you confirmation by email that your order is complete and the goods which you ordered are ready for dispatch. Only those goods listed in the confirmation e-mail will be included in the contract formed.


2: Prices and Availability

The total cost of each order, including item price, VAT and delivery cost is clearly displayed prior to payment being made. Making payment clearly indicates your acceptance of these costs, alongside our terms and conditions.

Whilst we try and ensure that all content and prices which appear on this website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of any goods you have ordered we will inform you of this as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming the order at the corrected price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you the order will be cancelled and a full refund given.

When a chosen product is not currently in stock we back order by default, if it remains out of stock for over a week you will be given an option to cancel the order and receive a full refund. If you are a trade customer with an established discount the prices shown should reflect your reduction.


3: Payment

Payment for each order becomes due immediately during the checkout process. Unless otherwise stated all prices displayed on this website are exclusive of VAT, which is calculated and added during checkout.

Our payment service provider uses state of the art security tools and techniques to ensure that you are fully protected against online fraud when making your purchase. Credit is not provided or available for any online shop accounts. Goods are shipped and dispatched only after receipt of cleared payment. Delivery costs are charged in addition to goods, such additional charges are clearly displayed and included in the total cost.


4: Shipping

We use a national carrier and ship our goods using a next working day service, order before 2pm to ensure a quick turnaround. This means most orders ship the day after they’ve been received, but this is not be guaranteed. The shipping address used for delivery is selected by the buyer during checkout. Shipping costs are calculated during the checkout process, with the amount due clearly indicated prior to payment being made.

When goods are delivered, it shall be your responsibility to ensure adequate access to the delivery point and to provide all necessary labour to offload the goods. Orders must be checked on receipt of delivery and any damage to packaging, noted in writing with the delivery driver and reported to us within 24 hours. Individual goods should also be checked for damage or missing items and if found reported directly to Tennants UK within 7 days of delivery to be eligible for refund or replacement.

Delivery Failure
If you fail to accept delivery of an order within three business days, then we may charge you extra delivery costs. If further contact attempts fail, we may consider the contract invalid and refund payment minus any costs incurred.


5: Returns

Our goods are not sold on a trial basis, it is the responsibility of buyers to ensure that any goods purchased are suitable for their intended use. Our customer service department will be pleased to offer advice and further information on all products prior to purchase.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase at the time you receive it, or if the product does not perform to your satisfaction, please contact us to discuss arrangements for its return for repair or replacement.


6: Refunds

Refunds will only be considered on agreement and under the following circumstances. Cancellations prior to dispatch and back orders are subject to refund. Damaged goods where reported within the agreed shipping and handling rules are also subject to refund.

In all cases, goods must be returned unused and be fit for resale, unless reported as damaged. It is your legal obligation to take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession. The customer or buyer will be responsible for all return shipping costs.


7: Risk & Ownership

We warrant that all goods supplied by us shall be free from material defects up to the point of delivery. At that point, risk in the goods passes to the buyer, with complete ownership being subject to any outstanding payment being completed.


8: Warranty

Unless overruled by a goods individual warranty, we reserve the option to either credit or replace goods returned under warranty free of charge, as a complete discharge of our liability. This is dependent upon the goods being purchased within the last 12 months, any fault found being attributable to us and details of the fault being communicated to us. And there being no additional claims costs or compensation.

Number plate components are only warranted if they are used with other compatible components and equipment approved by us. To avoid doubt on compatibility, we are prepared to advise on media and systems that comply with warranty and legislation.

Force Majeure

Neither the supplier or buyer shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under the contract to the extent that such failure or delay is caused by a Force Majeure Event. This is an event beyond any reasonable control, which by its nature could not have been foreseen, or if it could have been foreseen, was unavoidable.

In this case, we shall contact the buyer with options to either to cancel the contract or complete it later at an agreed time.

Disclaimer of Liability

The content displayed on this website is provided without any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to its accuracy. Unless expressly stated to the contrary to the fullest extent permitted by law Tennants UK Ltd hereby expressly exclude all conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity and shall not be liable for any damages whatsoever, including but without limitation to any direct, indirect, special, consequential, punitive or incidental damages, or damages for loss of use, profit, data or other intangibles, damage to goodwill or reputation, or the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services, arising out of or related to the use, inability to use, performance or failures of this website or linked websites and any materials posted thereon, irrespective of whether such damages were foreseeable or arise in contract, tort, equity, restitution, by statute, at common law or otherwise.

This does not affect Tennants UK Ltd’s liability for death or personal injury arising from its negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, misrepresentation as to a fundamental matter or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Interested parties may link to our home page provided they do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it. Links must not be established in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists. They must not frame this website on any other site, nor create links to any part of it other than the home page. We reserve the right to withdraw website linking permission without notice.

Except where expressly stated to the contrary all third party trade marks, services and companies featured on this website are in no way associated, linked or affiliated with Tennants UK Ltd. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Tennants UK Ltd, its directors, officers, employees, consultants, agents, and affiliates, from any and all third party claims, liability, damages and or costs arising from your use of this website or your breaching its terms and conditions.

Variation

Tennants UK Ltd shall have the right in its absolute discretion at any time and without notice to amend, remove or vary its products, services and any page of this website.

Invalidity

If a part of the terms is unenforceable the enforce-ability of any other part of these terms will not be affected with all other clauses remaining in full force and effect. So far as possible where any clause/sub-clause or part of a clause/sub-clause can be severed to render the remaining part valid, the clause shall be interpreted accordingly. Alternatively, you agree that the clause shall be rectified and interpreted in such a way that closely resembles the original meaning of the clause/sub-clause as is permitted by law.

We operate a complaints handling procedure which we use to try to resolve disputes when they first arise, please contact us and let us know if you have any complaints or comments.

Waiver

If you breach these conditions and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these conditions.
