Replace a OKI C532 Fuser Unit
Installing a replacement fuser unit is easy, just follow the simple steps below. Or for more help, try our knowledge base articles on the OKI C532 Printer. The instructions that follow assume you are directly facing the front of your OKI printer.
After the transfer belt moves toner onto your plate media, the fuser unit fixes it into place. Despite having a large life cycle, eventually it will wear out and notify you on the control panel. This is when you need to order a replacement fuser if you don’t have one. The message will change and prompt you to replace it once it is finished, it may even stop printing.
Step 1: Remove the Used Fuser
Before you install a new fuser, you will have to remove the existing one first.
Open up your printer to reveal its innards and the toner cartridges. The fuser unit is located right behind the toners and image drums. To remove the fuser, first unlock it using the blue levers located on both sides. Now use the handle on top and lift it up out its housing and place it aside.
Step 2: Replace the Fuser Unit
Now unpack & install your new fuser.
Next remove all the packaging from your replacement unit, take care not to touch the rollers on the bottom. Carefully angle & lower it into the printer, holding the handle on top. Then when it’s in position, lock it in place using the blue levers on both sides. Finally, close up so your printer can detect the new fuser.
