Replace a OKI B432 Black Image Drum
Replacing a used OKI B432 Black Image Drum is easy, just follow the simple steps below. Or for more help, try our Knowledge Base articles on how to Replace a B432 Drum. The instructions that follow assume you are directly facing the front of your OKI printer.
The large toner yield of a printers image drum is constantly topped up by its Black Toner cartridge. But eventually it will begin to run low and notify you on its control panel. This is when you need to order a replacement if you don’t have any. The message will change and prompt you to replace it once it is empty, it may even stop printing.
Step 1: Remove the Empty Image Drum
Before you install a new drum, you will have to remove the empty one first.
Open up your printer to reveal the Toner & Drum unit, take hold of the handle on top & simply lift it out of the printer. Place it onto a sheet of paper to catch any loose toner. Now you need to take the Black Toner off the Image Drum.
Step 2: Swap the Image Drum
Unpack your new Image Drum & peel of the orange tape.
Next, take the toner cartridge off the used Drum. Turn the blue lever towards you to unlock it and lift the toner off the used drum. Now put the Toner Cartridge onto your new B432 Black Image Drum, remember to lock the lever into place.
Step 3: Install the New Drum & Toner Unit
Finish by installing the Drum & Toner Unit.
Position the unit with the blue lever on the right and align the pins with the first slot on the printer. Now push the unit gently down & away from you until it’s in place. Finally, close up so your printer can detect the new toner.
